By Chris Bourke London Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), the largest bank rescued by the UK government, planned to close its overseas commercial property unit and dispose of the £33 billion (R412bn) of loans that it held, a person familiar with the plan said yesterday. The Edinburgh-based bank had already stopped lending to commercial property investors and developers outside Britain, said the person, who declined to be named because the plan has not been made public.
